The Spanish Past Perfect tense (also called pluperfect) is used to speak about something that happened in the past, that took place before another event.

How To Use:
imperfect of "haber" + past participle of verb
Examples
Habia visitado ya a mi mama. I had already visited my mother.

The following charts show the verb 鈥渆ndings鈥 for all regular verbs in the Past Perfect Indicative Tense. You will notice that all uses of the past perfect use the verb haber.

Remember: these verb charts are only a tool to use while one is learning the language. In other words, one must eventually forget the verb chart and it must become second nature.
